ProSoft i-View

ProSoft i-View is a mobile iPhone/iPod touch/iPad application that allows for remote monitoring and control of process values within an EtherNet/IP and/or Modbus TCP/IP network, utilizing a wireless 802.11 (WiFi) and/or cellular network connection.
ProSoft i-View provides an interface for accessing and monitoring variables (tags) and memory of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Plant engineers, PAC/PLC software developers, and Maintenance personnel now have the ability for live monitoring and control of PAC/PLC based systems at any time, from everywhere.
ProSoft i-View wirelessly connects directly to the PLC without routing through servers or personal computers, using direct TCP/IP links between iPhones/iPods and PLCs, with minimal configuration. Security is guaranteed through extensive use of passwords and the encryption and tunneling options that the TCP/IP and 802.11 technologies provide.

SlotServer Communication Modules
ProSoft Technology is now the exclusive provider of SlotServer Communication Modules manufactured by FieldServer.

The SlotServer modules provide communication for a number of Building Automation Systems and Fire Alarm Control Panel protocols previously not available via ControlLogix.

LonWorks Communication Modules
The LonWorks Communication module interfaces directly to LonWorks communications network. LonWorks is a key open system protocol used in building automation, transportation, and process control. Providing a standard generic profile allows most of the more common Standard Network Variable Types (SNVT's) to be bound to the module for data transfer. The LonWorks Module provides two-way connectivity to energy management systems, HVAC controls, VFD, generators and building control systems available from such manufacturer's as Honeywell, Circon, Johnson Controls, Distech Controls, Echelon, Tridium, Loytec, and many more.

BACnet Communication Modules
BACnet is a widely used protocol used by major building automation system manufactures in control systems and devices to monitor and control building operations. In process control plants it is often necessary to interface the building management information with the process control information. The BACnet module is the only device capable of interfacing BACnet data directly to ControlLogix. These modules are available for BACnet PTP, BACnet MS/TP, BACnet Ethernet and BACnet IP.

Metasys N2 Communication Modules
Johnson Controls Metasys N2 is used in building control systems and devices manufactured by Johnson Controls and their broad range of Metasys by Johnson Controlspartners. The JCI Metasys Module can act as a Master or Slave and can handle over 3000 addresses.

Building Automation Systems Communication Modules
Building Automation Systems (BAS) include BACnet, Metasys, and proprietary protocols such as Carrier, Caterpillar, Cleaver Brooks, Data Aire, McQuay, TAC, York and many others. Building Automation Protocols are utilized by a wide variety of building devices including HVAC, VAV, boiler controls, chillers, air conditioners, fume hoods and more. The BAS drivers normally enable two-way communication from ControlLogix platform to these devices.

FieldServer Technologies has developed protocol drivers for most Fire Alarm Control Panel manufacturers, including Notifier, Simplex, EST (GE Security), Siemens, Fike, Vesda, FCI, Spectronics, Gamewell and others Most Fire Alarm Control Panel protocols are primarily one-way communications due to the restrictions set by the NFPA.

Axiomtek introduced the iCON-78000 series of industrial harden managed PoE Ethernet switches with a wide operating temperature range (-40ºC ~ +75ºC) for extreme environment used. The iCON-78000 series not only features eight PoE ports but also provides two Gigabit Ethernet ports and two 10/100base-FX ports. Supporting Power-over-Ethernet on ports 1 to 8, the iCON-78000 series can power IEEE802.3af compliant devices and transmit data simultaneously, which helps save wiring costs and makes it ideally suited for outdoor applications such as PoE IP camera, PoE Access Point and intercoms. To provide non-stop Ethernet connection, the iCON-78000 series supports α-ring technology which provides fast network recovery within 15ms. iCON-78000 complies with Underwriters Laboratories' (UL) 508 and Class I Division 2 for operation in hazardous environments.

Hazardous environments are defined by the National Electrical Code as those areas where fire or explosion hazards may exist due to flammable gases or vapor, flammable liquids, combustible dust, or ignitable substances. Electronic products must meet certain requirements and obtain special certifications in order to be used in these environments.

UL 508 is a safety standard for industrial control equipment and it covers the requirements for devices rated 1500 volts or less, products intended for use in an ambient temperature specifically indicated for use in other conditions and industrial control panels that are as assemblies of industrial control devices and other devices associated with the control of motor operated and the related industrial equipment.

It leverages both function and form factor of the Rockwell Automation 1734 POINT distributed input/output modules, combining the RA device function into wireless architecture. The JetWave 2450 with the enhanced firmware, in addition to Base Station, CPE, P2P and P2MP operating modes, will provide 2 more modes for flexible connectivity: the WDS mode for establishing wireless connectivity with other APs by a simple key in of remote MAC address, and AP Repeater mode for simultaneous operation of the device as AP and Bridge.

Using the additional Ping Watchdog function, the JetWave 2450 users will be able to perform automatic system reboot in case of connection loss.

Other than these, the new firmware will provide optimized boot time for faster booting of JetWave 2450, optimized outdoor distance parameters for achieving performance enhancements as well as statistics improvements for user’s easy monitor and diagnosis.

Following are the changes which apply to the v1.0.3 Firmware of JetWave 2450:

In this way, CANlink® WLAN can be used as a CAN diagnosis interface.
