The PROFIBUS DP Master V1 communication module for the CompactLogix platform (MVI69-PDPMV1) is now equipped with CIPconnect™, a feature that enables remote configuration and diagnostics of the MVI69-PDPMV1 module via EtherNet/IP. CIPconnect technology utilizes the backplane bridging capabilities of the CompactLogix system to enable EtherNet/IP connectivity between a PC and the MVI69-PDPMV1 module via a 1769-L35E or L32E module. CIPconnect also enables Asset Management software that supports FDT/DTM to connect to PROFIBUS DP/PA devices over EtherNet/IP.
